Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish! The Development Services Manager is a key member of the Global Real Estate and Development (RE&D) team. This dynamic position will be primarily responsible for supporting pre-construction activities to ensure regulatory compliance, consistent/predictable entitlement/plan review/permit outcomes, and improved government/consultant relationships & communication. This position supports the RE&D team, other corporate teams & end users on project planning, code strategies, permit expediting, design concepts, and plan review/permit process related to production/corporate events, new construction, renovations, real estate transactions, and other miscellaneous planning & building projects. Key Qualifications- 10+ years progressively responsible experience in urban design & planning, development project & permit management, plan review examiner/engineer, or architecture; bay area projects, working with technology companies/city jurisdiction, and office/commercial building planning/design experiences highly desired
- Professional urban design & planning, architectural, and/or plan review examiner certifications desirable
- Highly experienced and skilled in development services & project management, permit process & management, city process/regulations, building design, architecture, plan review principles, building codes, fire and life safety codes, and office/commercial construction systems & principles
- Professional knowledge in city planning, engineering principles and methods, with demonstrated ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints, specifications, and city codes
- Proficient in requirements surrounding building occupancies, accessibility, emergency egress, and building live safety systems
- Expertise in plan review, city permits, and planning entitlement processes
- Ability to make accurate and decisive decisions and highly skilled in communication, conflict mediation and problem resolution
- Outstanding written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Customer service, team building, people management, and problem solving skills are crucial
- Highly motivated and willing to take on a variety of tasks to help and support the team
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $156,000 and $234,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
